You're an awesome photographer, and I thank you for posting these photos and rekindling the "itch" I have to vacation in Pittsburgh again! You've also given me a great idea for a new photo tour for Downtown Scranton in which I"ll snap photos from the top floors of parking garages, high-rise buildings, ridgetops, etc. to survey the entire city as opposed to just street-level views, as I had done. Look for this tour in April once our region is lush again with vegetation after a hearty winter. Bravo to you!

These are fantastic!

I also like the view of Bloomfield's little patchwork-like houses from the Bloomfield bridge.

Pittsburgh is really a beautiful city with some great architecture. We need to get the news out, and your photos are a good way to do it.

Default Missing Home

These pictures are amazing. I am from Pittsburgh, the Hill District. Went to Pitt and after graduation, relocated. Have lived several places since then. From any angle Pittsburgh is beautiful. Thanks for the pick me up tonight.

I really love these. I never grow tired of seeing pics of teh Burgh so anyone else should post here as well. We all can't be as amazing as the OP but I would love to see neighborhood pics and snow. It was 80 out here today. I rode around with the top down on my car this afternoon. We didn;t have any kind of winter. I really want to see snow. ~sigh~ Anyway, please post more pics. I am sure evryone would love it!

I think most of the pacific northwest (Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) is FULL of character, personality, and history, just like the 'Burgh!

Too many American cities are listless, boring, and cookie-cutters (AND EXPENSIVE!).

My brother lives in Portland, and the similarities have also been apparent to me (from the medium-size feel, to the many historic high-density neighborhoods, to the proximity to rivers, to the outstanding beer culture, and so on).

Man - you're taking me home! I grew up in Fox Chapel - haven't been back in over 30 years. I'm in Texas now. What a pretty city.
