Fracking checks for property owners have doubled in the last month...and gas prices are going up as we speak. Socialist Joe has zero idea what he’s doing...and his followers are as quiet as mice, especially in regards to him giving record amounts of money away. They’re also the same people that are begging for electric versus fossil fuels, but have no idea that electric is going to cost them a small fortune every month. It’s a duping at its finest, but many have to learn the hard way.

i wonder if they might be scrambling to set up operations, thinking that if they were already working they couldnt be grandfathered in if a ban went into effect, and would be untouchable.

I thought this was interesting. Largest age group with job losses are 25-34.

As long as we have a very inefficient, polarized, and ineffectively fragmented local government system it will be difficult to advance our region's economy.

Oh, and for the record I voted for Biden BUT actually disagree with the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline construction. Like it or not we will still be dependent upon fossil fuel extraction for at least another generation. Eventually you can shift oil and gas industry workers to being solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, etc. workers, but flipping off the switch on the oil and gas industry out of nowhere is just going to lead to job losses and soaring energy prices.

I have been doing a lot of research and can not believe how exciting geothermal in particular is. I can just envision cities and towns investing to dig geothermal "farms" on every block that homeowners and businesses can pay to tap themselves into for cheap clean energy. Until that happens, though, yes, we do need the oil and gas industry.
If you are against cancellation of Keystone and going cold turkey on all fossil fuels, why did you vote for Biden/Harris? They were explicitly clear they would do what they did. Not trying to be snarky or anything but, did people who are having voter's remorse now seriously expect anything else?

You know what's more exciting than geothermal? Next generation nuclear fusion. If we are to realize the progressive dream of a net zero carbon planet while, you know, keeping civilization running, it cannot realistically be done without the help of nuclear.

On the bright side, fracking checks have doubled since Socialist Joe has taken over.
Switching to all electric vehicles doesn't do much when that electricity is generated from fossil fuels, just saying

I’m curious as to the reaction of huge electric bills. I’d wager they’re going to be very unwelcoming.

Yes, emissions like NO2 maybe, but not carbon dioxide. If the electricity needed to power that EV is coming from fossil fuels, there is still the same level of CO2 being produced at some distant power plant.

Most folks didn’t vote Biden, they voted against because Trump. I’d wager there’s lots of voters remorse already, and going to be a lot more to come.

Well, that's what happens when people vote with their emotions and not their brain, or because of someone's personality instead of their policy. I hope they remember the voters remorse in 2024
