Not yielding to pedestrians or running stop signs is no big deal.

Look I won't argue about the politics behind this but why have a law if you are going to publicly say you won't enforce it. If the law is wrong, CHANGE IT. If the law is not wrong, ENFORCE IT. Seems like pretty basic logic.

This seems to work against Peduto and his fans' plans to make Pittsburgh more bicycle and pedestrian friendly, doesn't it?

At first I was confused why someone like you would be advocating for pedestrians over drivers...and then I realized it was an excuse to stoke anti-Peduto (and anti-black) grievance.

I think ending routine traffic stops is a bad idea. However, I think we should examine the possibility of either not having police officers be the ones who stop cars in traffic, or at minimum not having cops armed when they pull over people. Keep the gun locked in the trunk, and make them actively go back and take it out if they feel the need.

My goodness, this statement just makes me shake my head.

Certainly doesn’t look like it’s going to help cyclists or pedestrians.

Who’s going to be the ones to stop the cars?

So what happens if/when the person being pulled over has a gun and pulls it on the cop?
