Interesting. Pittsburgh is "The Paris of Appalachia", after all. Maybe these would work. But the nearby "red door" church on Stanwix stopped allowing homeless to use their bathroom because they trashed them. I'm not sure they wouldn't do the same with the Sanisettes. But it's worth a try.

The criminals would steal them and sell them half price to another city. Then they'd steal them there and...

lol.. the popular American version of this is the 'Portland Loo'. Philly did the cheapest thing possible the last several years and just put porta potties out. Last year, they bought 6 of the portland loo ones and the first will be installed next month. they connect to the sewer system and have real running water. We will find out if it makes a difference

Is the one in the south side still operational. The city was going to place them everywhere but i only recall one going in.

I used one near the Eiffel Tower in October 2022. It was space aged yet time consuming considering the crowd. It was well worth it and free of charge. Most of the restrooms in and around Paris required a fee including the Mall at La Defense.

Holland and I think some other countries used to have free open urinals right on the sidewalk, no blockage from the public - you just walked up and peed out in the open. I was there years ago, not sure if that is still the case but it was pretty gross.

Better get these new ambassadors up and running and assess the other ones as even Peduto isn’t safe.

nice, Peduto being heckled by probably a self-righteous, self-professed progressive...on Walnut Street, that tough, rag-tag neighborhood where you have to put up with fists, or run to your mamma.

Peduto should have knocked his block off.

Not sure whether they recognized him or not, or if it was a random attack from the many dregs of society. Wonder if Big Ed has taken notice and if he’ll have these old and new safety ambassadors surrounding him after seeing this to whip these dregs into shape by talking to and consoling them. Biting the hands that feed them certainly isn’t new, especially with so many showing displeasure with Big Ed’s incompetence of dealing with violence.

While looks can be deceiving, I’d greatly wager that he’s incapable of doing that.

Life doesn't reward followers. Peduto is a follower.
