Is Ed Gainey responsible for Allegheny county job loses? Violent crime was here prior to his administration as well as lethal drugs. I do not contradict myself. I do not think SEIU donated 350K to Edward Gainey.

Except it’s skyrocketed under his administration, and even brought up the drugs and violence recently which is under his administration, and he’s already been in office for 14+ months…and he’s obviously done nothing to fix the job losses. Contrary to your belief, just because you don’t think it doesn’t make it so because it’s Big Ed…but do feel free to prove the report of $350K wrong, and please be specific as surely KDKA will redact the story if you can come up with some, and please do provide proof that the emails aren’t real?

Define skyrocketed please. Did SEIU pay 350K to Ed Gainey or his campaign? I do not believe Mayor Ed Gainey pocketed $350K. Drugs and violence has been an American issue for some time now. Pittsburgh is not immune to national trends.

Murders went up 39%, though you’ve tried to claim 10-20% and that it’s not noticeable, and we’ve seen, and you acknowledged the huge problem with juvenile violence. Stats are in articles posted here that you choose to ignore because they don’t fit your narrative.

Again, comprehension issue. The article…and I’ve multiple times, it was a campaign contribution, and it’s more than any donor combined. Who said he pocketed $350K, and please be specific?

Except you’ve said in the past that the crime and violence that gets brought up in the city is normal and that folks don’t know what they’re talking about since they don’t live there, and now you’ve recently told us how bad it’s gotten in the last year as it’s only recently you’ve said such a thing. Quite the contradiction once again.

You said SEIU gave Ed Gainey 350K. These were your words.

Yep, and previously said they donated it, just like the article, however, you were too busy crying racism to pay attention, and even so, saying they gave him $350k doesn’t imply he pocketed it.

How much has SEIU payed out to political campaigns coast to coast?? My wife does a lot of work for SEIU. The chapters in LA and Philadelphia are huge and have a lot of influence. My wife worked diligently for uninsured low paid healthcare workers. SEIU played a huge role in PA election as every democratic candidate that they supported won! This is a good thing for Pittsburgh and it’s residents.

Don’t know and don’t care as it has zero to do with this situation. Just deflection from them donating more than all donors combined to Big Ed and him immediately going after UPMC because SEIU wants to unionize them, and let’s not forget Lee doing the same thing after SEIU endorsed her and she won.

Except your wife doing work for them has nothing to do with it. Just a strawman argument to try to fit your narrative, and no surprise that you’re doing anything you can in trying to defend Big Ed and SEIU’s expectation’s, especially since the cat is out of the bag and Big Ed is catching heat for it.

No surprise there as it’s a Dem state and Pittsburgh is a Dem city, so those who they endorsed winning is no surprise at all.

The fact is Big Ed said it’s all about everyone paying their fair share, and when push came to shove it’s about SEIU getting their way, UPMC didn’t go along with his nonsense, he left the meeting because he didn’t get his way, hasn’t attended any UPMC events, and thinks he’s going to bully them into getting his way. The hypocrisy is great stuff and hopefully the investigation continues on.

If this was an easy win then what is the issue? What did Ed Gainey allegedly do? Are there others out there suspected of the same exact thing? These are politicians right? Large organizations endorse candidates for a reason. Politicians need financial support to run effective campaigns. Sound to me like Ed Gainey played the political game and won.

So much deflection and strawman arguments combined with whatsboutism to defend Big Ed who the article is about. But you should certainly investigate and find out if other politicians are doing the same thing in regards to SEIU.

Lol. It’s a Dem city with no chance of him losing. Sounds like Big Ed got caught in a precarious situation and his cries of “everyone needs to pay their fair share” really meant UPMC needs to do what he wants them to and in regards to SEIU. You should actually read the article. It’s quite insightful for those that don’t have an immediate paranoid knee jerk reaction that it’s because racist.
