Just wait until they finally get to Scranton. I'll snap so many images to post onto this forum that people will be smacking their heads!!! LOL!

Hold on now, I know you're a prominent poster to the city data forums, but there's a lot more to Pittsburgh than just looking at it through Google Maps. Yes the Mexican War Streets are one of the most distinctive in the city, but the North Side of city also boasts the largest percent of murders in all of Allegheny County this year.

Yes, but the broad generalizations on this city's sub-forum have never ceased to amaze me. Even on my own home sub-forum comments like "Scranton sucks" are not unheard of, even though a couple of its neighborhoods are so desirable that they are home to political elites. I've seen NUMEROUS mentions during my tenure here of how "undesirable" the "North Side" is, not just "parts" of the North Side. Resaca Place doesn't look like "hood rat haven."

Well, do one of your photo tours and I guess you may see for yourself. As a whole, it's also my opinion that the North Side of town is undesirable, with a gem or two at the most of neighborhoods that are desirable thrown in. You hear a lot of people who are moving to our area for the first time asking about the North Side and is it a good place to look for a home, but you rarely, if ever, here people who have lived here for any amount of time say they are looking to move in to that area.

I lived my dream, and once had Grandview Ave for an address. My dream was ruptured as the insane sound of vibrating ear-drum shattering cars crawling up and down the avenue all evening long. My entire home would vibrate. With in six months I was looking for new digs.

The South Side Slopes are likely the best place I've ever seen, both with wonderful city views, City Steps all the way up the hill sides to the top of Arlington Avenue. Beautiful spectacular views of urban city life that is now clean and unpoluted. I kid you not, it is wonderful there.

There are many walking distance venues on the South Side and I could walk into town to work each day.

Yes, Street View is kind of cool and shows very much how the actual topography goes. Better yet, go and visit yourself, and enjoy walking those same streets.
