I used to think Pittsburgh had brutal winters. Yeah that was before I moved to Minnesota. Now Pittsburgh Winters seem mild by comparison. Only a handfull of storms, some cold but nothing long lasting.

I wish I could be walking across one of those Bridges in the Winter these days. Back when I was doing it, it seemed like the coldest place on earth.

What's your temp up there right now, about -30? The NWS in Pitt revised our forecast a bit and is giving us a -5 for Fri night's low, I could only imagine what it will be in MN.

Woke up yesterday morning at about 4:30 and the thermometer said -22! Add in the wind chill, and it was absolutely brutal. As another Minnesotan transplanted from Pittsburgh, I agree 100% with slamont. I thought Pittsburgh winters were bad until I moved here. I'll take a winter back home any day! (I walked across those bridges in the winter too!)

My cousin lives in St. Cloud, he's a lineman for a cable company. I feel so bad for him this time of year.

I know you're joking, but it's actually rather dismal in NC in the winter time too, though warmer, it's still gray and everything is dead as can be.

Yeah it was -22 in Erie a couple days ago. It hasn't stopped snowing since, either. And it pisses me off when I come home for holidays and my family complains about a half inch of snow sort of on the road

Maybe so, but it's sunny in Denver, and right now the highs are in the 60s.

Default Southern Comfort under a blanket of SNOW !

Not so fast Southern Comfort ! the Piedmont is bone chilly and under more snow then the Steeler's Nation. Raleigh- 6 to 8 inches of snow and Charlotte 1 to 4 inches of snow.
