Coke aholic here. The best Coke was the small green bottles. Sometime in the 80's Coke switched from cane sugar to beet sugar, ruined the taste. If there is indeed a true cane sugar Coke out there, someone please let me know. I'm jonesing.

I do believe that's why the Mexican coke tastes so good - cane sugar.

Bought some Mexican Coke at a Walmart today in Chambersburg...tasted just like when I was a kid! I'd tried Pepsi Throwback but wasn't impressed, maybe bc it was in a can, which I don't prefer.

Anyway, I hear some Mexican Coke now does have HFCS, so read your label before you buy!

So I've heard about the Pepsi Throwback but I have yet to try it. Can I get it by the bottle or only by the case?

I tried Mt Dew throwback and it was gross. I'm a major Mt. Dew addict.

As a matter of fact, I started drinking Mt Dew when Coke made the huge mistake of creating "new Coke."

Man, I loved old Coke. By the time, Coke realized the mistake, I was already hooked on the high caffeine level of Mt. Dew.

I have to try this Mexican Coke. Maybe it will bring back memories and I'll get off the Dew once and for all!

You can buy it by the bottle at 7-11. If it's anything like the Mt Dew throwback version, there will be limited fizz. It seemed flat.

Interesting. My previous post about the "New Coke" disaster made me realize that Mexican Coke might have caused Pepsie to market these throwbacks.

Hmmm...I've gotta try this Mexican Coke now!
