One would think each community would have an Egg Hunt along that timeline.

Easter Bunny huh?? That idea used to creap me out as a kid. Sure man in a Santa outfit works but someone in a Bunny costume? Um, no thanks...

The easter bunny got me. I first figured out that there was no freakin way there was a large rabbit going around giving every kid chocolate. So then I figured out my parents where lying about Santa, and then at 8 I found out they lied about Jesus too. Oh Well. I never trusted another human since.

Uh, oh..... Herald the Easter Bunny will NOT be happy with you. I talked to him the this afternoon and he was sad about you not believing in him. You made him ...

This means no Fruit and Nut egg for you!

I used to tell my cousins about Herald every year. They loved my Herald stories and really believed that I knew him. Herald was the only way I could get them to calm down and be quiet and good for a little. Threaten a kid's Easter Basket, and he'll settle down. For a while, anyway.

And yes -- it was Herald, not Harold.
