It has to do with the Dubai operation, it isn't a separate issue:
Ireland announced Tuesday it's expelling an Israeli embassy official in punishment for the alleged Mossad use of forged Irish passports to assassinate a top Hamas militant in Dubai.

Took the Irish government a little while longer than it took the Brits
So far, Germany and France have abstained from expelling any Israeli diplomats over the use of forged passports used in the assassination but the folks down in New Zealand are still rather miffed when Israeli agents forged New Zealand passports during another assassination.
Then of course the Brits have had to deal with Israel forging British passports before. In 1987, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher did order the closure of the Mossad station in London for a time - though no doubt it carried on in different ways - after the kidnapping of the Israeli nuclear whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu.
You would think with all the passports Israel has forged over the years they would at least get better at it.
It's a little hard to deny the forgery when the can account for the "real" people and their whereabouts during the videoed time of an Israeli agent using the fake name. I'm sure the passports were really good, and probably authentic and issued FROM the proper agencies by moles within those countries government(s).
They(Israel) just got sloppy and like usually happens when spy's get sloppy...they get caught. Or dead. They need to/will take their medicine, and will be back in business in those same countries in 6 mo's to a year. You have to realize, that they're just expelling the diplomat, not closing the mission or it's activities.
Funny how the die-hard Israel supporters don't have much to say about this...
Any means used against terrorism are justified...
