Democrats MAY be headed towards disaster, but Republicans are already there. Unless the Republicans can get a better field of candidates than they appear to have now, they will be left in the dust again next election.

Uh huh...

We've seen unprecedented obstructionist behavior from the minority party intent on gridlocking the entire system in it's quest for a return to power.

Supporting folks who cried and apologized because a Corporation agreed to help the "small people"?

I know, I know...you're going to tell us they spent a ton of money...more than the GOP when in power? Or is the issue where they're spending it vs the GOP spending pattern?

Remember Senate Republicans moved to block "pay-as-you-go" rules, which make Congress pay for any new initiative with spending cuts or tax increases, and they certainly wanted to block the creation of a bipartisan commission to reduce entitlement spending.

All these stimulus measures are not stimulating..they are subsidizing for deflation and lost revenue.

You can all hope for change ...I am bracing for a depression and have MY financial house in order.

And just look at what has taken place, to all those who voted for Obama, on a promise of a new ERA of HOPE AND CHANGE, DISASTER. Lack of experience shows up in his incompetence.

Here's my prediction: I think we are going to see a mirror image of the 2006 off-year election and the 2008 presidential election. In other words the R's will likely take over the House and, possibly, the Senate in 2010 and the WH in 2012. This is barring some unforeseen disaster that allows Obama to demonstrate competence. And it presupposes going into 2012 with a weak economy and unemployment still above 8% and no end in sight for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Guantanamo still open and KSM still untried.

and what does the G-NO-P propose to do other than be obstructionists? They have no plan and being upset with Obama and putting those idiots who ran us into the ground for 8 years back in power is certainly not the answer.
