yes it has.. Somewhere on these threads I have posted a chart showing this began during the Clinton years.. Not Clintons fault, just showed the spiral progress which was leading up to this period of time..

Ooh please.. Did you moan and groan about no jobs being available when the unemployment rate was 5% during the Bush years? And thats not at all what caused the economic crisis.. You'd think with all of the reading you do here, you'd learn something and not continue with the same old meaningless bs..

When Bill Clinton signed the 'luxury' tax bill, more than three boat builders in Bradenton FL closed shop because the so called rich stopped buying boats. Hundreds of people lost their jobs. That dumb law was repealed and it took years for the industry to recover.
Yes, I really believe that giving tax breaks to the rich creates jobs.
And as far as the rich people creating jobs, how many people were employed building the $7 million yacht for Sen Kerry that he registered in RI to avoid half a million dollars MA sales tax. btw- How does a senator amass so much wealth for such an expensive boat? [yes, I know the answer]

Why do people always lump personal income tax with business when the two are not the same. I have a lot of friends who are entrepreneurs and personally consult for a lot of start-ups and none of them are salaried anywhere near 250k. To add to that, there are an enormous amount of deductions that most small business owners who are smart can claim, none of which seem to be getting eradicated.

GROWING, you will expand. Granted, alot of established companies are waiting it out. Unless your Marriott, but they are doing that in Europe.
I know about only 20% of companies are expanding in this economy but it is happening. Here are some examples:

As long as the world population grows, people are going to continue to need anything that’s packaged. Our industry will continue to grow.”
New England Machinery wants to add about 10 employees to its staff of 40.
The plant, at 2820 62nd Ave. E., will add sales staff, engineers, purchasing agents and service technicians with salaries ranging from $30,000 to $100,000.

Trinity Graphic USA, which prints product labels, is one of two Manatee County companies that plans to create 23 jobs in the next five years.
American Finishing Inc. will add 25 jobs during the next five years to its metal fabricating and powder coating business.

Don Franklin, president of American Finishing, also is planning a $1.5 million investment in the company to purchase two vacant buildings with a combined 50,000 square feet to increase the company’s production capacity.
“We still have a strong business despite the recession,” Franklin said. “The economy is such that people are repairing and repainting rather than buying new. We’ve seen business grow probably 20 percent.”

Trinity Graphic USA projects business will grow by about 33 percent after investing $1.6 million in a new digital printer and a digital die-cutting machine.

If tax cuts to the rich worked we wouldn't have entered a recession in December of 2007. Obviously the Bush mutiple tax cuts to the wealthiest couldn't avert the coming disaster.

Like from China?

We need to sell our products. Until we have a national income again, we will go further into debt.
