ALOT OF PLACES(types of business) YOU ARE REFERRING TO sometimes keep the jobs in their family or just dont plain hire at all

"Giving tax breaks to a company will not create "demand" for that companies goods.
If a company has emough "demand" they would already be hiring people. They are not gonna create a job just to put the product into inventory, and pay taxes on them at the end of the year."
Their family members are not tax payers?

Show me proof that tax increases raise revenue.

For instance....a few years ago on "get away day" from vacation at OC NJ we (6 of us) thought it would be nice to spend one more partial day on the beach. A one day Beach tag is $5. That's $30 for a few hours on the beach.

While I could afford it, I couldn't see paying that. Had the beach tag fee been $3, we probably would have stayed. Multiply that by thousands of people, and look at the lost revenue.

This runs parallel with tax increases.

It hasn't worked yet. The money keeps going to offshore accounts instead of into new plants and workers.

I say go back to tax rates in 1950.

Read a little history. It has always worked.

One thing that has ALWAYS failed- government stimulus. Obama just reminded the nation of this sad reality again.

Interesting you would use this as justification. Those cuts did work very well. It also resulted in in greater share of the tax bill passed to those in the upper income levels. Now why would the upper levels have a greater tax bill? Could it be their wealth accumulation grew so much to result in a higher tax bill? Conversely, could it be that the lower income earners saw significant reduction of their tax bill due to the decline in their income? So, you are right, the Heritage Foundation definitely wants to promote this idea, lowering the rate very much helps the upper 3% of the population, the other 97%, not so much.

Again, I ask SO WHAT? Wealthy people pay more in taxes than their share. Wealthy people pay for a majority of the social programs that the poor take advantage of. Without the wealthy, there would be no revenue.

Thank a millionaire the next time you meet one.

So what? Do you realize that the U.S. wealth distribution today, is the same as it was in the late '20s? What happened in 1929? That Depression hurt everybody, including the millionaires.

Long term unemployment handouts and welfare programs obviously are not creating jobs. It's much smarter to slash taxes on American businesses that employ Americans so they can employ more Americans.

The hyper wealthy own most of this country and its economy. Let them pay for maintaining our oil empire. The basic income tax deduction should be equal to the 90th percentile of income when all income from all sources is counted. Those in the top 10% should pay the entire bill using a steeply graduated income tax without any loopholes or special exemptions.

Providing tax exemptions and cuts for the wealthy just concentrates to money in the top percentiles without creating, in fact reducing, jobs in this economy.

Wow! Are you trying to just play devil's advocate or are you really that uninformed that you believe what you posted?

If the latter, please go find a course in Economics 101!
