This is the recovery;its just not what people expected. It depends o waht part of teh ecomo,y you look at. If its jbs that is going to be long and slow;and still likely not get to below 8% by 2015 they say.

True. I'm just pointing out that the food stamp program is a bit over the top.

If you make 40K a year, you shouldn't get foodstamps. If you are going to have 8 kids, and can't take care of them, then I think you're parental rights should be terminated.

The reason most people are on food stamps is job loss. So you're saying that people who lose their jobs should also lose their kids? Or just people who have more than 2.6 kids? What would we do with all of those kids that we took away from their parents?

If they have 8 kids, and can't support them, then they are being neglectful.

Two people working at McDonalds can make 40K a year. If both parents worked, and took advantage of government child care during the times they're at work, then they'd make enough to care for their family.

Otherwise, they are being neglectful parents, IMO.

I know that a lot of people who are on food stamps need them. I'm just saying that the system is abused a lot, and should be reformed.
