His silence is deafening and it is obvious why he is not weighing in. One would have to have a very low IQ not to see the partisan hypocrisy. He's received his orders to shut up on the issue from the right wing powers that be. The man without integrity who will forever be the worst POTUS in history...bar none. Keep your low profile Bush Jr. We've seen enough of and heard enough from you to last many lifetimes.
Tell me, what issue has he weighed in on since obama took office?
It seems to me to be an altogether stupid position to take that liberal journalists shouldn't want to hear what conservative politicians have to say. They're journalists, for heaven's sake. Of course they would like George W Bush to weigh in on this issue. His comments would be NEWS. Their job is reporting and commenting on NEWS.
These are the same journalist who couldn't wait for Bush to leave, who mocked and denigrated his "stubborness", who never had a good word to say about him.....and suddenly, they are looking for some leadership, clarity and decisiveness to pull obama butt out of his self-induced cooker.
The Left hasn't wanted to hear from Bush at all since leaving office.
What a bunch of desperate hypocrites these journalists are.
I think you missed her point. She seemed to be stating that the MSM haven't put a solid foot forth in investigating this President, not that they haven't reported the news at all.
I think you're hedging for her. She said the MSM hasn't reported the news. Would you like to go back and read her post? She was making a ridiculous assertion. She got called on it. Deservedly so.

So what? They were reporting on him then, they report on him now. Let's not be simple here. When our previous Presidents wish to speak out, newspeople report on their remarks. Left-wing journalist, conservative journalist, even that miracle-of-miracles an unbiased reporter, they report on the news. Wondering what the previous Presidents might say about hot issues isn't a new thing. Asking them to comment isn't a new thing. And it's stupid to suggest that it is a new thing.
I suggest you find another thread to amuse yourself if you don't care for the topic. It IS really that simple and much better than just posting to complain about the thread topic...don't you think?
Actually, these are lefties asking Bush to weigh in with clarity and conviction (what the Left used to call stubborness), something that is not forthcoming with obama. They sound disgusted.
Imagine this; Lefty columnists are pining for the resolve and decisiveness of G.W. Bush, in the era of obama.
Obama took a stand, defending the CONSTITUTION (his JOB)...the Constitution that Bush called nothing but a @*&%!X@! piece of paper.
Ya, which side WOULD "BUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSH" be on ????.
Your post says two different things...Bush respected other religions, or so your post says, therefore he would ALLOW/CONDONE the building of a mosque close to ground zero....RIGHT!!!!!???????
Now, whenever a Dem/Lib/lefty mentions "BUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSHBUSH"...the rightists get their panties in a wad and want him forgotten....but turn around, FLIPFLOP, when it suits their purpose.....two-face ?? YES!!!!!!
Oh, and A N O T H E R flip flop......touting LEFTY JOURNALISTS??????? I thought you thought they couldn't be believed??????????? NOW YOU ARE A leftist supporter????
It is clear the Lefty Journos are very unhappy with obama, especially for his back tracking and waffling.
Some journalists think that Obama mishandled this issue. So what? Does that mean that in 2012 they'll line up to vote for Palin. I don't think so.
And as for your remarks about the news not reporting on Bush. Just so far this month, the MSM has had stories about Bush's visit to Haiti, Bush and his wife surprising the troops at an airport in Texas, Bush planning to give a speech at the Olde Farm in Virginia, Bush attending a Yankees-Rangers ballgame, and the upcoming release of Bush's memoirs. For a MSM that's supposedly "didn't want to hear from Bush at all since he left office" (that's word-for-word quote from you, correct?), in 18 days he's sure gotten a fair amount of press coverage. In addition to being asked to weigh in on the Mosque and the Imam Rauf (whom Bush worked closely with to foster better relations between Muslims and the United States).
Very good post. You hit on something I haven't thought about. Obama truly did waste a moment to side with the majority of American's, and he blew it, all in the name of audience approval. Once again, the President forgets that the "audience" is the American people, and it is they who decide his fate. This "Constitutional Professor" of ours really botched the message badly, which is disturbing because the mosque controversy is not even a Constitutional issue.
As a "Constitutional Professer" Obama tries to straddle both sides of any issue until after it is decided. This is not the mark of a leader. Dithering is a weakness that radical Islam and others recognize alike.
It is both respectful and appropriate that Fmr. President G.W. Bush not weigh in on the Ground Zero mosque debate.
