I would cheer. as far as stocking up, no need to do that as the family and I have been prepared for longer than a few years.
I wouldn't find out until I decided to read the news so I guess I would follow my normal routine and my normal day. I don't go for television much or the news online so unless the announcement is made when I happen to have the television on and it is made on the food network I doubt I see it.
