This whole mosque issue is based on religious hatred- muslims are the latest target of this hatred- if U.S. citizens are so worried about the desecration of hallowed ground, why do they not speak up so vehemently about Civil War battlesites being developed? Many Americans were killed on these battlefields and no one seems to care if development happens-or if these battlefields are not given the proper respect they deserve-

This hate is going to unravel some very dangerous stuff....we have allowed anyone illegal into the U.S., and now they want to cry b/c of this mosque....? I thought if 911 did anything, it would finally awaken all those American's who have been asleep for so long, living in they're very small worlds, a protective plastic bubble that they have created for themselves...however, it did nothing to secure our borders, but right away, Bush used it to get us into the Middle East....they all hate us, and there is good reason why...we should fix things right here at home, but no, we wanted more money, we became greedy and individualists....so, without thought of the effects our decissions would have on others, we will be our own demise...it is pathetic....we believe anything and other countries laugh at us...we have not progressed, we've regressed....and religion, is just down right silly...every single religion claims that they'res is THE Religion....? Sheeesh...

Since Islamic law forbids the construction of mosques on hog-soiled land, the Arabs had to abandon the project..The Israelis have been using this strategy since 2004. They put containers of pork fat in all their buses and made sure everybody knew about it. If a suicide bomber decides to explode himself in a bus, he’s taking the chance that some of the pig fat ends up on his body and therefore he will not go to Paradise. Israelis buses have been safe from attacks since then. No more attacks.

So as of yesterday, it is no longer possible to pretend with a straight face that this project is about anything but Islamic exceptionalism. The latest excuse for why the mosque should be built at its current location? Why, moving it would inflame Islamic extremists around the world, of course! So when given a choice between reconciling Muslim values with American sensibilities (which was supposedly the whole point from the beginning) or appealing to Islamic extremism, Rauf chose extremism.
