Nice try. There is no inference that various ethnic and racial groups have not contributed to America. That's your own self-serving bias getting in the way of objectivity. That's not my problem, that's yours. All i'm saying is that I, nor anyone else, has an obligation to make anyone feel "accepted." The only obligation that we have as Americans is to keep this country moving forward through meaningful and productive contributions to society. Infer from that all you want. It just makes you look ignorant to twist it into something its not.
You are the one that mentioned people not contributing in your prior post, NOT me. It's visible for all to see.
The fact you don't feel like you need to make anybody feel accepted will be the seeds of the downfall of you and those that think like you. Nobody will share you dream or vision for how you want America to be because YOU FEEL NO NEED TO ACCEPT THEM! People have gotten that message loud and clear and reject your thinking and your vision for this country because of it.
If you don't feel obligated to make anyone feel accepted then don't feel suprised when people don't share your outlook or way of thinking.
And by the way is there anything more ignorant than telling people you aren't willing to accept them?
nice job of race-baiting with the water fountain comment.
Excuse me, you accuse me of race-baiting on a thread designed to do nothing else?
You single out African and Asian Americans;
Quote:
African-American, Asian-American etc.. In my opinion if you are not originally from Africa or Asia, or Latin America then shut up!
Yet pretend that Americans of european descent do not commit the same "offense;"
Quote:
How ridiculous would be if all non minorities started calling themselves Russian-Americans or Irish-American
And you have the temerity to accuse me of race baiting, what a mendacious hypocrite you are!
Do I really need to list how extensive the use of hyphenated Irish, Italian, German, Polish, and Ukrainian American groups, just to name a few, that there are in the U.S?
Inevitably by the same crowd that has a meltdown over a Cinco de Mayo celebration, complaining and carping that it's a sign that the celebrators haven't 'assimilated', yet the same crowd enjoys St. Patrick's Day and Oktoberfest.
And is oblivious to the self-contradiction in their selective whining and sniveling.
Right, only lefties can protect the little kiddies and the food we eat. You Libs ceast to amaze me at how egomaniacal you can be.
What amazes me is the lack of historical context.
What passed as "crazy liberal talk" in the early 1900s is the core of progressivism. The "conservatives" of the day (your early counterparts) railed against such regulations as evil commie agendas, and a defiling of traditional roles (voting for women).
What was once radical "leftwing" ideas is now the new norm. That is progressivism.
I swear, go back in time enough and today's "conservatives" would be akin to the British loyalists during the Revolutionary War!

There you go with you inferences. I didn't say that i'm not willing to accept anyone. I said I don't feel the need to make sure they feel accepted. There's a difference. I'm not surprised it went over your head, as most things do. The big question is whether you are intentionally obtuse or just downright sluggish in your thought process. Care to enlighten us on why you twist and spin so much?
Oh. I thought you were posting about when Stephanie Ann Lewis-Finefrock marries Anthony James Anderson-Oglethorpe....then their kids might be Susie and Jason Lewis-Finefrock-Anderson-Oglethorpe. Incidentally, they would be English-Irish-Swedish-Dutch-Americans
