There might not be a need for it. The Senate is voting on the extension next week:

I have only 3 more checks left before I become a 99 weeker, I am scared to death, I will not be able to pay my bills. My resume's that I send out go unanswered for the most part, except for the scammers who get ahold of it..I am wondering what my fate will be...God Bless everyone who is looking for a job and is unsucessful.

As an aside I have worked my entire life, if I lost a job, I have always had another one in less than a month's time, I see no light at the end of this tunnel. I pray that Congress will have some compassion for those who are still unemployed...

People, you have to cut your expenses (to the bone) and try to save money when you lose your job. In many cases it can be done. That way you have something to fall back on if there is not another extension.

People like to think unemployment checks are the end of the line, they are not, they were suppose to be the beginning of the line.... welfare checks are your next stop... so stop hogging something that is suppose to be used by others in the future... your done... it may be harsh but people got to start living in reality instead of make-believe world...

So you got lucky and hit the lottery because that is what finding a job is like. You did nothing that the other 15 million people are doing to find work. Man, the way you talk you must be a CEO or President of a Fortune 500 company. Your all into yourself. Why is some big wig like you on a forum like this or better yet you probably own this forum.

It took me 15 month of interviewing and networking with the company I work for now while working as a waiter in a restaurant to get my current job. I didn't 'get lucky'.

The fact that you think finding a job is like 'hitting the lottery' shows how much you could learn from me. If you would put your damn ego aside and take advice from someone who knows what they are talking about.

ok so all the 99 weekers... who are you voting for, and why?
If you say that you are voting democrat, then why? because they will give you more unemployment benefits? Think about that? more benefits for the unemployed, but less job opportunities. And, your neighbors who have jobs get to pay more taxes to pay for these extended benefits.
so, are the people you vote for really helping?

It was easy.I am self employed and doing well after a bad winter. do what you gotta do .if you cant get hired create your own work, that's what made America not handouts or scared chickens afraid to go for it on their own. why does everyone today think they need a boss when they can be the boss. man have we gone downhill

OK, so how many hours per day do they spend job hunting? 15? 16? If they spend that much time every day job hunting I will apologize and leave this conversation. Can you answer a question I ask for once instead of redirecting?

Obviously people here are not listening to me, they would rather march on washington than look for jobs. Thanks for blatantly ignoring all of my points though!
