Right, I support the preacher 1000% and at the same time would have no problem with a mosque burning a bible if they chose to do so. I believe in and value freedom to the fullest. Unlike the PC left I am consistent.

Here's a major difference beteen bible and koran burning. Even the Christians who would be deeply offended at bibles being burned would NOT resort to violence.

I imagine the book burning is in retaliation to the MegaMosque, not sure. But is a hostile move, tit for tat. This group has the right to do so, but is not wise. Seems a foolish and radical move from a group of fundamentalists against other fundamentalists, what does it serve in the long run? Trying to make some statement we all know is clearly evident. We will have to deal with islam soon enough, this isn't the way.

Well said !!!! Here is the difference between Christians and Muslims,TV,Movies, books and other Media has frequently portrayed Christ and Christians in a bad light. Mohammad, Messenger of God - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Muslims Protest Wikipedia Images of Muhammad, page 1 This 1976 movie couldn't be shown at the time because Muslim crybabies threatened extreme violence and this film wasn't depicting Islam in a bad light. I guess Muslims have "Special Rights" the rest of America doesn't???

If Muslims dislike Free Speech maybe they should stay in their"Home Countries" where women and Gays are beheaded and stoned, women must hide their bodies behind restrictive clothing and can't travel alone. And stone age Imams threaten anyone that disagrees with their backwards and violent Religion with Death. How often in modern times has a Christian Minister issued a Religous order (Fatwah) inciting violence,Death and destruction of America and Americans??? Or better yet killed innocent women and small girls who were raped and then executed barbarically for Adultery??? Also throw in Honor killings and Female Circumcision, yes Islam is a Lovely peace loving Religion. Every thing is fine until you disagree or question it.

Another well known fact about Islam's Mohahammed he had a 9 year old wife and kept slaves.

Dog & pony show sent out by directive of White House talking points. Frankly, if the news media and the White House were concerned about the threat to our troops, they would have a media black-out of this pastor's intended plans and not give him any publicity.

Hmmmmmmmmmm....

Right. Christians never resort to violence.

I guess our prisons are filled with only Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, etc. But no Christians. Because Christians would NOT resort to violence!

Mmm-hmm.

Terry Jones is a man with a shady past who was kicked out of Germany.

This is a guy with a congregation of 80 people who has aroused international anger and hostility
toward the United States.

This is an Islamophobe who believes he has been appointed by God, “meaning opposition
was a crime against the Lord.” And then he asks his followers for money to support his
sociopathic behavior.

This is a cretin who encouraged violence toward children.

That's a good thing!....The kind of war strategy Gen.Petraeus is portraying President "Ourbomber" will replace the Korans with "NEW" ones, so not to offend our enemies, and put us further into debt! Someone needs to explain the rules of engagement to the American people again. We all need to be on the same track when it comes to this war! Is it war or are we being held hostage over there
Right now we are at war with Al Quaeda and their supporters, the Taliban. This accounts for a fraction of a percentage point of the Islamic world community. Our military strategy is to win the hearts and minds of the Afghani and Pakistani population. Yes, you have the right to burn any book you choose but by burning the holy book of over a billion people you inflame and unite the people of the islamic faith against us. Is that really the direction we really want to go? It only takes a match to light the fuse to a world wide explosion. All for what? So some internet furniture salesman can express himself. The act of one can affect the futures of many. The Schoolyard shooting with an AK47 in California in the 80s changed the gun laws for everyone in Cal. for ever. The acts of a few evangelical christians can change the military course of the war for decades to come and diminish America's credibility worldwide, forever.

That would be press censorship. Is that preferable to simple restraint?

The guy has a right to do whatever he wants -- just as Jane Fonda aka Hanoi Jane did back during the Viet Nam war when she took it upon herself to interfere in war hostilities.

What she did wasn't wrong, what he wants to do isn't wrong. But one thing they both have in common is the sense of self importance and disrespect and disregard for the results of their actions.
