Did she tell you that you can't have salt?
Or other forms of sodium?
Can you indicate where this was said in her speech?

Nothing wrong with promoting and educating on the issues. That is however not what many were discussing.

It is the calm before the storm and oh so common with these issues. First it is promotion and education, yet if this doesn't have the effect some desire, its on to regulation and banning as is evident by the numerous proposals made by certain parties to regulate and ban many types of food through misplaced blame and extremely poor research based on half-truths and out of context claims.

What qualities do you want in a leader? Is a leader someone who leads by telling you "You're own your own!" or do you want someone who says "This is the best direction"? Didn't Bush2 say that war was the right direction? Wasn't he telling us ignorant Americans "what to do" (i.e., go to war, kill people, etc.)? Didn't his Administration tell us to spy on each other? Talk about imposing one's will on others. And yet, it's Michelle who, in this thread's instance, is taking away your freedoms? This does not compute.

I don't like many of those that have surrounded Obama and I despised the idiots whom Bush2 picked. But the message Obama presents is far more unifying, more thoughtful, and has more potential to fix this country than his predecessor. Granted, words are words, and great rhetoric can indeed ring hollow if actions don't follow, but Obama is an example of a better leader than Bush2. Not the ideal leader I'd want (I want the whole truth and nothing but the truth), but certainly not "arrogant", "dictatorial", and "socialist" like the lesser intelligent amongst us have chosen to label him. I didn't vote for him (read my status) so my defense of him is nonpartisan. Oh, and...

Remember to vote INDEPENDENT in November!
Right on!!! INDEPENDENTS ARE BIG-TIME LEANING TO THE RIGHT!!!!

That's okay though. We can all pay the price of letting people get sicker and fatter as years go by, especially never knowing what goes into their food. That's okay though, the people that are complaining the most are the ones who do so between mouthfuls of fried chicken and dumplings. They are signing their own death warrant through stupidity, while everyone else pays the bill.
How about complaining about a huge problem that America has in the illegal immigrant population?? Don't you mind paying for them ie lack of jobs for Americans taken by illegals, the amt of health care WE pay for when they have baby after baby in our hospitals, food stamps for the huge families, taxpayer $$ for schooling their illegal children???? Comment on that??

I bet you're a proponent though, of amnesty for all. This issue is WAY more realistic for us, than reprimanding us about our SALT INTAKE!!!!

I'd love to see Michelle take on the illegal immigrant problem instead!
