Once again ... do you guys actually believe that Barack Obama eats the burgers and ice cream that you all see him eating all the time? Some of you guys are playing the game of "I saw some pictures of him eating burgers and fries so he is guilty." Everyone can enjoy those foods sometimes, I doubt he eats them all of the time. It is obvious he eats them while on the road, while visiting towns, vacationing and when invited. Also, considering his job as the POTUS is probably very stressful, he is gonna want to eat those things every now and then. Increased stress levels make us want to eat "junk food."

The only arrogance I see is in your posts. Your view of Michelle is way too exaggerated by your bias. I guess if any liberal (or person you didn't like) gave you good advice, you'd take it as an offense rather than in the spirit it was given. Were you offended when Nancy Reagan told you to say no to drugs? If an admittedly liberal educator tells you to read to your children, are you going to refrain from doing so because you didn't like the messenger?
If someone stands up and asks (which is what Michelle is doing here, not "demanding") that restaurants serve healthier food, why would anyone not support them? I think the government eventually requiring that the food we eat be healthy is a good thing because it is the sole institution that can assert that kind of authority. It is an example of the common people in action. Too bad conservatives think government serves no purpose other than to wage war and waste lives.

Isn't the Tea Party doing what you claim the Obamas are doing? Aren't they acting as if America needs someone to lead them to the promised land by telling them how they should act and behave? Um, Americans ARE ignorant! They are obese, they think in binary terms (no shades of gray) and they act like children (rude, insensitive, spoiled).
What qualities do you want in a leader? Is a leader someone who leads by telling you "You're own your own!" or do you want someone who says "This is the best direction"? Didn't Bush2 say that war was the right direction? Wasn't he telling us ignorant Americans "what to do" (i.e., go to war, kill people, etc.)? Didn't his Administration tell us to spy on each other? Talk about imposing one's will on others. And yet, it's Michelle who, in this thread's instance, is taking away your freedoms? This does not compute.
I don't like many of those that have surrounded Obama and I despised the idiots whom Bush2 picked. But the message Obama presents is far more unifying, more thoughtful, and has more potential to fix this country than his predecessor. Granted, words are words, and great rhetoric can indeed ring hollow if actions don't follow, but Obama is an example of a better leader than Bush2. Not the ideal leader I'd want (I want the whole truth and nothing but the truth), but certainly not "arrogant", "dictatorial", and "socialist" like the lesser intelligent amongst us have chosen to label him. As longs as things are not mandatory, I have zero issues with first ladies taking up good causes. And yes, "good" for them may not be good for everyone, but then again, I dont think even god can please everyone.
See, this is where we have a communication issue. I say sodium, you say salt. I wonder how many people realize that standard table salt (sodium chloride) is not the main culprit when it comes to those higher sodium levels. I would suggest researching what exactly is causing those ridiculously higher numbers and their effects on the human body. Perhaps you'll find that these chemicals are indeed dangerous and harmful.

That's okay though. We can all pay the price of letting people get sicker and fatter as years go by, especially never knowing what goes into their food.
