The legal system allows for a man to have one legal wife. It's not illegal to live with 3 women as your wives, as long as you're not legally married to all 3.
Why do you care anyway? If they're all consenting adults, how does it impact your life?
This is all towards the goal of normalizing abnormal relationships. Once accepted, the next step is federalizing acceptance of gay marriage, which will be done via the next show in this series where seven Mormon men marry one man who actually does work and provide for them all. In Virginia, you can do so as long as you don't fornicate with them. Pre-marital sex is illegal here. Silly, I know. But still.
However, there are no laws regarding lesbian sex. So, two or more girls can have at it as much as they want.
