As I wrote, it's hard to find people with sense these days. That woman's love and regard for her savior, Jesus Christ, may not be entirely unlike the love my co-worker had for his daughter. What she did was illegal, as was what my co-worker did, but I understand why she did it, just as I understand why my co-worker clocked his idiot boss..Are you incapable of this sort of understanding?

I doubt a muslim would create art offensive to other muslims, since they make death threats for such. So, supposin' the artist wasn't muslim, or was even christian, then..?

Since Jesus is a fairy tale and there is no record of him.
Since god is a fairy talek and there is no proof that one exists.
I don't see the problem with the artwork.

The woman is whacked and should have to pay for the artwork and have a mental assessment.

Under your logic if a person finds an inanimate object offensive that person has the right to bust it up. If a person finds the ten commandment offensive or a nativity , or a star of David he can simply destroy it at his will. What about a baptism in a public pond, or a marriage in a park. The door you open is not only for you to walk through. Once it is open anyone can apply there own ideas and morals onto others with an aggressive act.
What part of individual freedom to chose do you not understand. Why should people live in fear that someone will destroy there property because they disagree. The idea that one person can attack another's idea and thought is worse then what the Islamist do. At least with them you know your screwed. But this type of logic hides behind a peaceful god!
I sat there for three hours one night trying to show a guy why the phrase creator was so important in the Declaration of Independence. He could not understand the importance of the document and the need to present it as written. Now you have the view that god should have the ultimate say. Both are so incredibly destructive to what the forefathers designed this country's foundation to be that it could very easily eliminate it.
The America that the forefathers designed, that men have died for, that we teach to our children and who's flag we look to for freedom demands that no ones ideas are destroyed at the hand of another. If the god that this woman represents is the true god I don't want to have anything to do with him. Thankfully he is not because the god I know is not a liar.

God is not mocked. God always wins. No one can touch the holiness of God. It is the dirtbags of the world that make themselves dirtbags.
That's the same viewpoint that drew so much fire when the artist who came up with "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" was threatened.

Further proof that fundamentalists of ALL religions are peas in a pod.

I agree with your basic argument, but, honestly: what do you think would have been the reaction to that piece of "art" in the founding fathers' day?

I guess this is just the reaction the artist wanted.

Commenting or critizing Islam is really the only dangerous thing to do in the artworld today. The Danish cartoonists, Salman Rushdie and Theo van Gogh have all experienced the wrath of Islamic fundamentalists. The Dutch director Van Gogh was actually killed for making a critical movie about the treatment of women in Islam.
