The group pointed to the ranking Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, as a prime example. Rep. Barton, who controversially apologized to BP at a hearing last summer, has raised $3.7 million from the energy sector, including $1.9 million from electric utility interests and $1.3 million from oil interests.

and the list goes on...

With an R House and a D Senate they will have to compromise to get anything passed.
Happened under Clinton and it didn't turn out too bad.
Even Obama seems to have turned a new leaf with the word "compromise" actually coming from his mouth.
Why Obama is even agreeable to an extension of the Bush cuts to everyone now.

I figure the next 2 years can't be any worse than the last 2 years.

With Democrats like Charlie Rangle and Maxine Waters already in DC, electing corrupt politicians technically wouldn't be a change at all.

And Democrats have the nerve to question the people who were just elected, how could ANYONE be worse than who they put in office already.

Joe Barton received more contributions for the petroleum industry than anybody else in the House of Representatives. The fix is in.

Joe Barton received more contributions for the petroleum industry than anybody else in the House of Representatives. He apologized to them during the Congressional hearings for the BP oil spill, imagine what he is going to do for them NOW. The fix is in.

If anything does go wrong on their watch, we all know they'll just try and doublespeak their way out of it.
