Since when did the screwed up wishes of a few malcontents supercede the wishes of a nation of citizens who are proud of their country, their flag and all that it represents?
I am made suspicious by the lack of details.
Looking at the picture, though, as a parent, I wouldn't permit my child to ride around with that particular flag attached to his or her bicycle. That thing could put someone's eye out.
I hate to tell you this, but just because a student is Hispanic or has an Hispanic name does NOT automatically make him an immigrant.
And, that's especially true in California which has a huge number of native-born citizens with Hispanic family names. Millions of them, in fact.
Your thread title is misleading and inflammatory.
Misleading? So you're telling us that even 2nd and 3rd generation U.S. citizens are "offended" when they see an American flag as opposed to a Mexican one? Thanks for clearing that up for us.
Inflammatory? To be honest, I can't imagine how one could not be completely incensed by these kinds of stories going on in America today.
