The Democrats who've ruled in Sacramento for three-plus decades have fianlly gotten the attention of the national media.
What the heck took them so long to notice this length trend regarding the cost of living here is dramatically higher than in all but a handful of states, and especially for real estate prices and gasoline prices?
The 'smart growth' crowd has ruled out here for ages, screaming about preserving 'open space' in a country where 93% of the land in this state, as well as the entire country is undeveloped is beyond asinine.
NOOOOOOOO..take them back, please, take them back.
They're not all bad, we had a nice couple move onto our street a few weeks ago from San Diego who had been saving their money for a year to evacuate CA. They were so happy to be in TX I thought they were going to kiss their new driveway.

But many more are...
Austin has a train that's empty and goes nowhere twice per day.."smart growth". And they want to build another train now.
Austin passed a transportation bond package only they're fixing up bike and walking paths and not streets.
Austin has a budget shortfall but hey..they NEED to invest a $25-50 million to entice the F1 racing to come here so Austin can "make a name".
Could it be that devastating, or way more brutal to California, than 1994.
The tax payers are leaving and the parasites are multiplying.
What is that a formula for? Could it accelerate the exodus?
All the people that will remain in California are the leeches with their hands out and the libs who will keep choking the golden goose until it dies, then cry for the American Taxpayers to bail them out.

And the WH will mail them the check and put it on our tab.
It is clear to me that Texans have an inferiority complex with California. They thrive off California failing, what kind of people would be happy that others are out of work and can't afford food because we are in a recession.
This "Southern hospitality" certainly doesn't exsist with the Texans in this thread.

The southern hospitality is alive an well for those that want to move to Texas for Texas.
But not all come here to start new lives in a new state and learn the ways and customs of that state. To those that do..a big hearty welcome.
But there are those that
-don't like the conservativeness
-don't plan to stay
-want to change our rules because the ones they had "back home" were better.
There are those that moved to Texas not because they wanted to go to Texas but because their money goes farther here and they'll stay here until such time they can go "back home".
I will say there's more that are welcome than not, but there's a good number that seem they really don't want to be here willingly.
Yeah most Californians don't want to be there willingly. I know I wouldn't want to be.
