Gosh, if we could only get past the "standing" issue and get to the merits of the case. then he might have to present his long form BC, which for some odd reason, he just doesn't want to do.
I would think 2 things should happen when you are running for president of the united states.
1. you need proof your a citizen
2. someone in the government and justice system certifies it when your going the be the president of the united states!
I think if that was done you wouldn't have these issues no matter who the president is.
Considering its in the constitution you would think the judicial system would run that check because its job is to interpret the LAW!!

Agreed. But in this case it was done, thus the court rulings. The birth certificate has been produced, and they even found birth announcements from newspapers however-many-years ago in Hawaii to back it up. I bet if this was Palin's birth certificate in question, suddenly the rules would change.
Some people are so intellectually dishonest, especially when it comes to religion & politics, that they will attack anyone they disagree with using all forms of illogic available. The birthers fall squarely into this category. The fact is that no amount of evidence will ever convince these people. They hate Obama, and they REFUSE to believe he was born a US citizen, no matter how much evidence you show them... it's almost like their religion.

Imagine that - a US citizen not having standing.
Obama's long form BC is beside the point. Obama was born a British citizen by virtue of his father. He's not a natural born American citizen. That is, unless he was a U.S. citizen at the time the U.S. Constitution was adopted (the only exception allowed by the Constitution), which he wasn't.
For me it shows how many cares about the Constitution and how many doesnt
I dont see the issue or problem with anyone running for president having to prove they are eligible according to the Constitution.
I dont see why that is such a problem for many.
We have to get background checks for jobs, apartments. Which is not in the Constitution I would actually say its against it since it violates peoples privacy. That is fine by many but something that is actually in the Constitution they dont care about. Makes no sense
