It's all about money for them. They're incredibly selfish, while wasting an unconscionable amount of human potential. Frankly, I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror every morning. That's how disgusting I find the purposeful under-education of 2/3 of our country's children.

America's public schools are adequately educating only 1/3 of all students to grade-level proficiency. Take a look at what percentage of each state's students are even functioning at grade-level. Should be an eye-opener...

NAEP - Mathematics and Reading 2013

The national public school averages:

4th grade math: 41%
4th grade reading: 34%
8th grade math: 34%
8th grade reading: 34%

Those are NOT the only options. Now if the parents are too cheap to invest in the kids...

People are not wealth.

Some are wealthier.

PS: Ct, the state with the nation's highest median income, home to the Gold Coast, hm..last I checked it is a blue state. Did they not get the memo about being conservative?

Its not about money, its about control they need dumbed down voters dependent on the government dole.

Yet the moment you bring up charter schools, educating kids and making money, you are the greedy one..

Why does it have to be left or right. We all want a quality education for our kids. You just don't get that the key is parents. They make all the difference

Either more than 50% of Maryland's population is living in poverty, or you have a SERIOUS problem in that Maryland public schools are under-educating WAY too many of their students.

Facts show that it's the latter.

Total BS. Democrats keep kids trapped in public schools by not allowing vouchers, and it's minority children who are harmed the most.

Because it is about the individual and the results of their efforts.

I understand that, unfortunately most parents have to work, and cant always be there, and lets be honest we could be doing a far better job at education..

You can have the best parents, but if you go to a failing school at best it will cancel each other out..

We want the best education for the cost, and the private sector time and and time again blows government run schools out of the water...
