I have never understood people who object to sacred music because it is religious. We should all appreciate beauty whichever form it takes. Same goes for visual arts. Some of the most beautiful art in the world is of a religious nature. All this to me is part of the great human odyssey and I enjoy it all.

As long as proletyzing is not enforced upon me, bring it on I say ! I would love to have more music in public spaces and personally wish we had more pro-active singers !

Long may those flash-mobs live. A lovely uplifting piece of music.
I am glad atheists appreciate religious music. I can just imagine one getting caught in one of those and trying to sue the Mall. LOL

Music teachers at public schools get around the religious part by saying this music is cultural. My son was in the choir and they sang religious songs at his high school from the old masters. Beautiful.
