It's a fact nobody like to talk about, but poverty is something that will never go away until poorer people stop growing their numbers exponentially. The old reasons to have large families - agrarian economics - are not valid in most parts of the world.
Great, balanced post. I would, however, like to hear more about why a return to an agrarian societal model might be anything but a good idea. I grew up in time and an area where most of the food available was produced locally and as I investigate more about the sources of healthy food being grown in my area, I say kids grow up to make the farm hands that put good food on my table.

Are you that ignorant to the good that Turner has done by way of philanthropy or are you just following the herd?

Question: If Turner and his ilk miraculously had their way, if suddenly one morning 80-90% of the world's population were gone, would YOU still be sitting there in front of your computer?

With these kind of ideas, he can take all his "philanthropy" with him on that one way trip to China. Not worth it. Don't need him or his goofy ideas.

China is on the verge, if it hasn't started already, of facing an explosion in what they spend for social welfare for the aginig members oif their population; there are millions of childless Chinese seniors who have no children, and no sons in particular to support them.

That is going to be catastrophic for the Chinese government sooner or later.
