First Legislation, put up a bill that does not allow amendments. Repubs keep their word about, what, an hour?

There is no chance of that happening. You actually think conservatives in those conservative districts will ever again make the mistake of voting for a democrat?

The dems are out of power in the House for a while and with the possibility of many of the old bags retiring, the GOP taking more seats in 2012 is even greater.

Oh, the dems will likely lose the Senate in 2012.

Unfortunately - ObamaCare can't really be amended. 2700 pages of legaleeze that even the Secretary of HHS can't get the rules written for on time. It's already giving out "waivers" to Big Companies and Unions because it's so complicated. There are 20 States with lawsuits - it's going to cost the Government and the States a fortune to litigate.

In the campaign for the 2011 election - Republicans ran against the bill that none of them voted YES for, some Democrats claimed they either didn't vote for it or wouldn't vote for it again. The polls have shown from the beginning that the public does not like ObamaCare, but does want Health Care Reform.

They all now go on record with either supporting this bill or voting it down and starting fresh. Let them defend those votes in the next election. Yes or No, this is not rocket science.

It's a very short Bill with only 5 lines of text in the preamble and 18 lines of text in the bill.

It was posted on time as promised, can be debated, there is really nothing to amend. Sometimes an UP or DOWN vote is all that is possible - this is one of those times. I hope we see a lot of short bills - I'm totally fed up with 2000+ bills that nobody reads or understands.

Here's a little goody for you or how idiotic ObamaCare is:
Obamacare Ends Construction of Doctor-Owned Hospitals

Quote:
"Section 6001 of the health care law effectively bans new physician-owned hospitals (POHs) from starting up, and it keeps existing ones from expanding." Politico adds, "Friday [New Year's Eve] marked the last day physician-owned hospitals could get Medicare certification covering their new or expanded hospitals, one of the latest provisions of the reform law to go into effect."
ObamaCare is filled with stuff like this - it has to go away so we can get something that makes sense and has a chance of working.

You people are so predictable. If anyone dare not think the way you do or who disagrees in any way are so much dumber than you. You believe you are the smartest people on earth and everyone else is beneath you. It's no wonder you lost so badly this last election. Normal people don't like being looked down upon.

Oh, and BTW, as far as I know, Rep. Pelosi is not collecting unemployment. She is still very much gainfully employed.
How funny that you point out that post yet ignored these

Suppose calling the New Speaker of the House a dork is classy

How ironic a post telling someone else to stay classy while ignoring so many previous classless post before. Not partisan at all, more like hypocritical

Still hasn't sunk in that conservatives are the dominant majority in the country, while liberals are the fringe minority.

Conservatives are a plurality, not a majority.

In 2010, Conservatives Still Outnumber Moderates, Liberals

Makes little difference when comparing conservatives and moderates to the liberal minority.
