What a disgrace - makes Jimmy Carter, makes Bill Clinton, and their repsective bros, look like the epitome of respectability, and that is soooo sad.

Only 52% of taxpayers pay taxes.

When he can cut taxes for people that don't pay taxes, he is really doing something there. It might not be good, but he is really doing something...

You might have noticed that much of the population isn't particularly good at math. Many people prefer not to think. I'm sure life is much easier when they just accept whatever is handed to them.

Maybe in other countries but not in the US. In the u.s. he is the most disrespected. Most radio stations never refer to him as president Obama, it kill them to call him by title President, but in the same breathe they refer to Palin as governor palin after she resigned.

Well, I guess when you increase the payouts to those who aren't paying taxes to begin with, it COULD be considered cutting taxes in some weird way?

liebkneckt,

You have to realize this is one of the most partisan conservative forums I have ever seen. Even if Obama were as terrible as people say, we would not know yet. The guy has only been in office for two years, and most of that time has been spent trying to bail out the economy, with zero collaboration from the conservatives. Trust me. Many people think very highly of Barack Obama. Personally, I think the peace prize was premature. Americans don't typically like our leaders to be TOO popular overseas, but I cannot see how it is bad for America. Noone liked Bush except the most hardened conservatives in the US. And Vice President Cheney...? Well, he had the charm of a naked mole rat.

If no one liked Bush, I wonder why he was elected twice? Since he indeed was elected twice, then wouldn't that make the majority hardened conservatives by your definition?

Actually this forum is one of the most popular of all forums with over a million registered participants. I would hazard a guess it might be more representative of the general population than any other.

China's Wen Jiabao recently called Obama a great champion of justice committed to world peace.

I can't think of any other president even remotely as popular in the world as him...what do you think?
Is that you, Aspiesmom?
