McCain's weak campaign is part of the reason we're in such a mess. He not only refused to confront the issues of Obama's inexperience and anti-americanism, but he played into the so-called "historic" rhetoric and chose an equally inept running mate simply because of gender.
The true military hero seemed to be so afraid of being labelled a racist for simply stating the known facts about Obama's lack of background information, his associations with known terrorists and lack of any relative experience.
Now he's calling him a patriot after two years of seeing Obama alienate our allies, denigrate the US in front of foreign countries, bow and scrape to the most minor officials and support the United Nations against the best interests of this country.
Obama is neither patriotic nor presidential - he's a disgrace to the office and his only "intent" is to see the creation of a all encompassing welfare state and complete dependency on government, using class and race warfare to accomplish a form of "reparations". That is not "advancing this country's cause" and John McCain needs to face the fact that the country he defended so heroically is being destroyed from within.
I think I love you!
My sentiments exactly.
They should have allowed Palin to continue attacking obama on his acquaintances and friends.
"I reject accusations that his policies and beliefs make him unworthy to lead America or opposed to its founding ideals. And I reject accusations that Americans who vigorously oppose his policies are less intelligent, compassionate or just than those who support them."
He was specifically talking about the speech he (Obama) gave at the Memorial Service and was just trying to live up to the "tone down the heated rhetoric" mantra.
OMG, all of a sudden living in AZ doesn't embarrass me quite as much.
Maybe he is getting ready for retirement and it's safe to be honest.
