The sad thing is not that Rushing said what he did, it is typical Rushing shooting off at the mouth, but that we actualy have rednecks here agreeing with his statement. So let me put this in a way they will understand, any time the fat pig drug addict or one of his minions want to come and get this Liberals guns they are more than welcome to try.

The part in bold seems pretty hateful to me.
Rush was being satirical, and his point flew right over your head.
All last week we heard the most hateful, mean, cruel and senseless lies, distortions and baseless allegations coming from liberal politicians, political commentators, bloggers and sheriffs. The irony is that the morre we learned about Jared Loughner, the more it became obvious he was no where close to being on the right, and the further to the left he appeared.
Here was Rush's satirical point, if we took guns away from the left, and did not allow them to speak in public, write articles in newspapers or magazines, and banned them from blogging on the internet, then none of what happened last week would have taken place. No shooting, and no hate speech from the left, none of it would have occurred.
Admittedly, his satire was not perfect, because Loughner seems to be mentally ill, which means you cannot make a convincing case that he was a part of the liberal left.
Rush did not call anyone on the left an accessory to murder, he did not claim certain people on the left had blood on their hands, and yet the libs will claim that what he said was hateful. What about all the true hate that was spewed by the libs all last week?

Problem is ditto heads don't just look at it as satire and a great many believe what he says to be truth, did you bother to read the posts on this thread from the far right posters.

What I hear is the same old they said it so I can to. Rush is Pandering, he doesn't want to be left out while Hannity and Palin steal the limelight and $$, gotta say something that will get people talking to get attention. Get it now? I am waiting for Coulter and Beck to step to the plate and I am sure they will not fail me. FYI I used to listen to Rush daily but there came a point he just got soooo out there I had to walk away from the stupidity.[/quote]

Rush is right, liberals should not be allowed to own firearms. No one who is mentally ill should be allowed to own firearms.
Quote:
"So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche." The Liberal Mind reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world's political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.
The root of liberal mental disorder is in the personality development of the individual who does not mature normally to value self sufficiency and independence. Such individuals seek a parental substitute. The most convenient is a socialist government. Those with liberal mental disorder are willing to trade their potential for success through education, hard work and respect for others for government subsidies funded through redistribution of wealth which normally accrues to those who earn their money through hard work.

Why am I tasked with policing how other people interrupt Rush's commentary? Why would I bother to allow what other people say to influence my own opinions?

After being savaged by the left and accused of accessory to a mass shooting, Rush, Palin et al, have a right to respond. The fact that you don't like it is moot.
BTW, if it makes you feel better, there are days when I tune in, and end up shutting him off too

if we got rid of liberals then American would rid itself of 90% of crime, 80% of hate and 100% of lies!
He didnt say take guns away from liberals he said get rid of liberals.
If he were to say he wanted to get rid of conservatives would you just view it as satire? or would you be thinking some mental lightweight with a gun may take him at his word and perhaps start ridding the world of conservatives.
There can sometimes be dire consequences to Limbaugh's daily demonizing of an entire American demographic.

Further to left, as in further from the right. Remember, it was the loony liberal left, like Krugman and Olbermann who claimed Loughner was alinged to the right with the TEA party and Palin. As time went on, we learned that he was a flag burning 9/11 truther, who hated Bush, and read the communist manifesto and Mein Kamf. I'd say that makes him further from the right, which translates to further to the left.
