The only problem is that if the "consequences" turn out to be positive (conservatives start eating there so as to more than offset the politically correct), it will anger some of the progressive nutburgers to the point where they will seek satisfaction from lawmakers, since their worthless boycott was ineffective.
Bingo.
Thats why it is important for Americans to pay attention to what is going on around us, and VOTE! 2010 was a good start.
Not to make a big deal about this,
But are you really accepting of "all people regardless of their sexual orientation, religion or race"? It is the owner's religious belief that makes him not accept same sex couples, so your protest of this shows you are not accepting of his religious beliefs. You got it right in your first statement: you are boycotting it because their views are different from yours. That is not accepting, that is judging.
Glad you found a fast food place that is as narrow minded as you are. Enjoy.
I choose to boycott because I don't care for what they stand for. That is my right and some would argue my responsibility. I am proud of the example I am showing to my daughter to be accepting of all people regardless of their sexual orientation, religion or race.
Reread my post.
If that's bigoted, you misunderstand the word.
Everyone has their place in the world, but not everyone has a right to everyplace in the world.
I'm glad to see that you are teaching your child to be kind and accepting.
My children were taught to respect everyone, including the unborn, but to stay away from those with unorthodox lifestyles.
Boycotting the company because you do not agree with their philosophy is actually bigoted, because it shows a lack of acceptance for THEIR philosophy being different than yours. By the same token, the company could be considered bigoted for not accepting a philosophy other than their own..
What exactly to you mean that "not everyone has a right to everyplace in the world"?
Let me guess...only those with conservative Christian values have a right to everyplace in the world.
Actually I understood exactly what was said.
If you are gay, and you get married in a state that allows gay marriage, and then go visit, lets say, Jordon.. Expect that you are not going to be accepted there, and will have to leave if you want to live.
I think that's what was being alluded to, (though not specifically). Not everyone is welcomed everywhere in the world. Not even conservative christian values, whatever they are, since I am not christian.
Gee, a private company run by a private citizen who has his own opinion on things. That is an AWFUL concept. We need to round all like-minded people up and take a firing squad to them..
I'll never understand why gays think everyone needs to care. We don't, we don't have to, and we don't want to. Deal with it!
Does this change your opinion about them or will you simply do what I do.....NOT EAT THERE? If someone doesn't like who I am I sure as hell aren't going to contribute to their financial well being.
Besides, they are overpriced anyway.
They are not here in WA, which is a shame, since they have such yummy chicken! When we are out of state and see one, I have to stop there. I go for their food, not their opinion!
