Egypt: Death toll put at 365 as strikes continue - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ml_egypt - broken link)

Quote:
CAIRO – At least 365 people died in the 18 days of anti-government protests that pushed out longtime Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak, the Health Ministry said Wednesday in the first official accounting of the death toll.

Minister Ahmed Sameh Farid said it was only a preliminary count of civilians killed and did not include police or prisoners.

The protests were peaceful, until the Mubarak thugs rode in on camels and vans, and including the police goons and killed a bunch of protesters. The same Mubarak that we (the US) supported for 30 years.

Exactly. I watched it in my office all day for days--they had non-stop live coverage on CNN, MSNBC, and other cable news networks picked it up intermittently. It was pretty hard to miss if you watch any cable news at all.

I rest my case..the people on Camels were actually the camel drivers who were economically affected because tourism was gone due to these protests..people who were actually trying to work for a living...

I would have been surprised if there were no casualties.

Peaceful or not, who cares! The people of that region and its government figured out what form of government they want. I dont care if they have a dictator or a democracy because even in a democracy you can elect HITLER! So until they come to our shores and kill us because we are still in the middle east of which is another reason we should leave that terrible place I see no reason to worry about it. My individual rights and constitutional rights are not in any way destroyed by them choosing a different form of government. In fact I would have to worry about my own government destroying and ignoring my rights before any foreign government would change our freedoms. If they wish to impose themselves on us etc and actually try and do it with FORCE then I will take up my gun and defend my Country and our rights. But we know that wont happen and since it won't happen the neoconservative and globalist need something to control and spend our tax dollars on. Fear breeds control and obedience of which every news station and talk radio show with the help of the Jewish community promotes fear and lies to continue the aid and justification for Israel.
America doesn't owe Israel anything other then friendship and commerce just as with the Arabs. End all foreign and military aid to all nations and alliances with none!
