Probably none, and most likely they'd be ashamed at any American that felt you need to be "kind and fair" in all types of politics.

Please exercise some degree of sanity on this board, you also advocated for politicians being killed if people did not like them. This is not the anarchist's or stormfront site.

Of course it's okay, so long as you do not trespass on anyone's property. You may have to apply for and pay fees for a permit to hold your demonstration, and if police are required to direct traffic and what not, you might be billed for them as well.

They said they didn't want to "inflame the situation."

So the police's stance was that no laws were being broken?

As long as there on public property. People protest outside of people's homes all the time here; the last major one was outside of Casey Anthony's parents house but there have been some smaller ones here and there for various reasons.

Thank you all for your responses. I have a follow-up. Protestors aren't the only people standing in front of people's homes, creating a disturbance for the homeowner and their family and neighbors. The media does it, too. How do you feel about it when they do it?

I'm assuming the homeowner has a right to turn on their sprinklers. I thought I'd get at least one gun answer. That's where I thought the states might differ. I'm guessing gun property protection doesn't extend to your front lawn.

On television you always see the reporters standing in the yard, even knocking on the door but in I've only seen them stand in front of the house, never actually on the property.

Personally, I think it's tacky and smacks of "mob mentality."
This is not a Right vs. Left issue it's a civility issue.
Anyone remember civility? It was nice!
When you protest at someone's front door or very near to their house because you disagree with something that they have said, done or believe, you are also disturbing their neighbors, (depending upon how close the houses are) you are disturbing their children, who will only remember the invasion of privacy and the feeling of being terrorized, and you are being crass, for lack of a better word.
