At they're in good company. Abraham Lincoln jumped out of a window once in the Illinois House to keep that body from achieving a quorum. I know how many of you like to brag about the R's ties to Lincoln--well here it is.
Good...if anyone else walked out on their job...you would be fired. Because you don't want to do something, to bad...thats what you have the job for.
Not if you are doing the job by walking out.

The relationship between the unions and the Democratic party has always been obvious. And the relationship between the corporations and the Republican party has been equally so. And especially with last year's election financing decision by the SCOTUS, those two constituencies have become even more important to the parties. So of course the whole genuine issue here is the Republicans trying to weaken the Democrats by busting one of their core constituencies and depriving them of funding at the same time theirs has just been put on steroids.
It has never been about the Wisconsin state budget. It is right wing politics at its most cynical.
It remains fascinating to me how easily the Republican rank and file can be mobilized against their own interests.

Channel Reagan, Gov Walker!
How long will the anarchy-loving democrats be on the lam before they eventually have to give up their seats? They are LOSING the PR on this issue, badly.
The taxpayers will not be happy the the democrats cost them MILLIONS of dollars.
All Walker has to do is compromise (or they get a few more moderate R's to vote with the Dems) and they return. I wouldn't be so sure about the D's taking the blame on this one--people aren't fond of radical ideologues, and that's what Walker is turning out to be.

Judging from the tweets from the Gov, he seems to be sounding a bit like Charlie Sheen.

Compromises suck.
Nobody wants moderates.
They think they do, but not really.
The last thing you want is both party's "compromising" on spending bills.
Try that at your job....again, because you don't want to do your job does not mean you can walk away from it...

Government workers have unions also....they just don't have the right to collective bargining....is that so hard to understand?
Let's hope they stay away long enough for the layoffs to actually hit. Let's see who wins the PR war.
