Forced sale of the farm to cover debts is the fate of too many farmers in this country. Selling the house to cover debts is the fate of too many homeowners in this country. Forced sale of revenue generating assets to cover debts should never be the fate of too many states in this country.

I suggest simply canceling the debts and allowing the farmers to keep the farm, the homeowners to keep the house and the government to retain the revenue generating asset. The debt holders would suffer a little but they would recover in due time. They always do until enough people get fed up with the lenders greed.

That's a good plan, if your goal is to shut down all lending. If debts are allowed to simply be cancelled, no one will ever lend money in that jurisdiction again. Then what?

Then what? People will save money and invest it in their own farm or business. Then they will reinvest in their own businesses until they are prosperous. They will not be forced to be either borrowers or lenders and the corrupt joint stock capalist system will go away.
