There are thousands dying somewhere on this planet from one catastrophe, act of war, disease, or whatever, every minute of every day. The President is doing something or other during all these continuous moments of thousands of tragic deaths- let's include that you and I are also doing something. We are working, playing,sleeping, etc.
If we gave these facts constant deep consideration, we would all be collapsed in a heap and weeping uncontrollably 24/7.
The President acknowledged the tragedy, spoke words of sympathy, and is sending resources and aid.
Your post tells me you do not have your finger on the pulse of anything of real importance, like stopping the wars and repealing the Patriot Act.....some of the things that are truly upsetting about Obama. This type of stuff you are posting is what what makes some on your side look ridiculously trite- instead of seriously engaged in pushing for things that are really important for our future.
I seem to remember Bush running off to the ranch fairly often. Actually I think he took more vacation time than any other president in his first few years.
