.......I just don't understand why some people think gay folks are some kind of threat to them........we just want to be respected like everyone else and live in peace..
Respect is never earned by constantly throwing sexual preference or sexual acts (San Fran Gay Pride Parades) in the face of others, by calling the defense of heterosexual marriage "bigoted", or assuming that those who do not agree with the normalization homosexuality in elementary school classrooms feel "threatened".
Homosexuality is not the "norm" for most of the world's population. Homosexuals in the USA do live in peace the same as everyone else. They may marry a person of the opposite gender, the same as everyone else. There is no discrimination. What you want is preferencial treatment and that is not in and of itself worthy of "respect".
