What we are opposed to is the liberals trying to break us all apart into separate ethnic, religious and cultural groups, and slapping hyphenated racial, gender, class and ethnic labels on us. We are all, each of us, Americans, and we object to theses people trying to divide us up, and pit one group against another.

What you are hitting on, is the way the current multicultural movement by liberal is harming America. When they split us up into divergent and unequal multicultural groups, some people take offense and lash out against the concept or perception that they are somehow forever cast out from the larger group, and isolated, stereotyped and forced into wearing a label to some minority group.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

For those Liberals who are so pro-multicultural, why are you also so PC anal that you want to separate ethnicity? You want everyone put in their own neat little box, and then have the audacity to claim you are the tolerant non-racialists. What a crock!!!

I am a mutt, a true American, and I wouldn't be here if the generations before me didn't get all up into different cultures, literally.

They exclude Muslims from integrating on the basis of multiculturalism because the ideology says to keep everything on your own, and be with your own people and for many people, they take it that they are deliberately being excluded from the larger group. This has led to those riots in France because the French don't want them to assimilate, so they lash out.
It's just more proof how progressivism really isn't!

Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounded?

The government fought tooth and nail to keep separation, and the Democrats fought the hardest!

It took citizens to FORCE THEM TO COMPLY!!!

Where were you taught history? Do me a favor and read up on Selma to Montgomery, would ya?

geeeeeeeeeeez

And while we're on culture, which culture in "Black culture"? There is difference between the "hood rat" culture, and the culture of regular Black people. Big difference between Wynton Marsalis or Brian McKnight, and Li'l Wayne. Big difference between a talented R&B artist or a jazz musician and a thug rapper like Li'l Wayne.

It isn't "Black culture", it's underclass culture. The culture of the underclass. Unfortunately, those who ascribe to ignorance will keep believing that underclass and Black are one in the same.
Absolutely, it's a case where the few represent the many. No different than Donald Sterling reprsenting all white people.

Not from where I sit. I would say there are far more of the lawless breed than there are the few who are pillars of their communities. These mobs are composed of a great many.

I only worry because so many of the new arrivals are all about, what can this country do for me, instead of what can I do to be a contributing American? That's why, I'm so against the Hispanization of America. I came here from Puerto Rico to escape living in "prison" because crime is so high there you have to have fences all around your property and iron burglar bars installed on ALL potential entries into your home. And we're getting those same poor Hispanics moving here, that cause us legit, working ones to fear for our safety and property. Anyone that is pro illegal immigration does NOT understand what it's like to live in Latin America, and does not understand why I feel the way I do, and attack me for it because they don't understand
If people want to immigrate, fine, go for it, but please adopt our culture as your own, do not come here to balkanize our country and forming an antagonistic, disparate group.

Not all parts of a foreign culture are compatible with the cultural norms here in the USA. For example, if your culture is a throwback to the fifth century, and permissive of slavery, misogyny and racial bigotry, stoning people to death and honor killings, leave all that at home, it has no place in the USA.

I think a lot of people realize that multi-racial societies work. Multicultural societies do not really have a stellar track record of success without significant strife.

Melting pot is the ideal.... not the salad model.

And the truth may just be that some cultures are like oil and water. I think we need to understand that it's OK to recognize that!
All cultures are NOT equal, some of them are just not compatible, and unworkable, even hostile and antagonistic with the culture of the American people.
