I don't agree with any of it. In most cases, even when it resembles western laws, the punishment is death or severe disfigurement because it bases that all laws are derived by God, and that violating those laws are violations to God, which are punishable by death.

No thanks, I don't want to die for small crimes.
Exactly.
Further, IMO, Sharia, and its parent, are abominations on humanity and have never made anyone's life better.
Sharia law is based 100% on what has come down through the Islamic pipeline. The entire body of that law views men and women in an unequal light. That alone is enough for me to reject it in its entirety.
Sharia law is how political Islam makes its inroads in Western countries. It has no place in the USA. Sharia is not compatable with our Republic and the protection of individual liberties upon which it was founded.
Why anyone would care about Sharia Law is ... well... confounding... as long as Sharia Law doesn't interfere with me, I could care less... The US Laws reign supreme over any Sharia Law so anyone who is frightened by it is really a closet racist IMO because it doesn't involve them... and I am not even muslim... people can choose to follow Sharia Law, they cannot "choose" to follow US Laws...
Agree. Sharia law is as irrelevant to secular law as is the religious law of Catholicism or Mormonism.
