If you are against gay marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex. Otherwise get over yourself.

I think it might be time to buy some stock in a company that makes aluminum foil, the demand is high.

The only "big deal" here is the money .. and the more you guys post on the matter, the more you prove that what I'm saying is true.
Actually you do. Gays are not legally allowed to visit their partners in the hospital since they don't count as family. Many adoption agencies ban gay couples from adopting, and since gay couples are not legally recognized, they don't get the same insurance benefits as straight couples.

It happens everyday though. Even little kids understand that homosexuality is wrong. That's why they asked in the first place.
They ask because they are curious, Do they ask Mommy and Daddy why they kiss and then the kids say Yuch or Yuchy, is that because they know it is wrong?

Even if that were true (which I disagree with on issues like visitation rights and adoption), so what? Like or not - that green paper is required to survive in this world. Why should gays not have the opportunity to get as much of it as straights do?

You keep claiming wanting equal tax incentives is somehow evil. Money makes the world go round.

By that 'logic' if they ask "Why is the sky blue?" it's because a blue sky is wrong?

How do you know? Marriage has never been a soley religious institution. It didn't originate that way, nor has that been the primary purpose for most of history.

And what does Separation of Church and State have to do with Marriage? The United States does not recognize marriage as a religious institution for legal purposes. Anyone can walk into city hall and be granted a legal, binding, "Certificate of Marriage" by any judge.

Religion's only purpose in Marriage is for ceremonial value for those who want it.

If anything, NOT explaining to your children that there are many different types of people is negligent. You should be telling your children about different types of people.

I should give you a fair shake. Is that the only reason? Why is it wrong? Please don't go into subjective Bible verses, use something a little more objective. For example murdering and innocent person is wrong since it ends the life of another person committed no crime....rather than saying God says murder is wrong.
You started this thread for the sole purpose of making it your goal to attack and discredit gays. Do you not have enough turmoil in your life as it is, that you have to find a reason to attack us. You are against gay marriage, we all know that, just do not have one, it is that simple. Done.

I think you quoted the wrong person. Calibro supports gay rights.

I don't believe gay marriage is right, but I try not to speak against it.
It is a free country, so I highly doubt it remains illegal forever, but the country has bigger problems than a privelidged freedom/right.

Although legalizing gay marriage won't fix our debt or deficit spending, If pressure is kept on that front, it seems like within the next couple generations it will be completely accepted.

It's like Civil Rights in the 60's.

African Americans were allowed to fight in wars, but it took a bit longer for them to gain full civil liberties.

For homosexuals it can almost be seen as similar to Civil Rights.
they are slowly being allowed into the military, and once people see that they dont ask as their stereotypes would show, then other people will begin to pick up on it.

Homosexuals just need to understand, nothing gets changed in a day. The population of the US may be opposed to gay marriage, but if the view of it can be changed for the better, than it will gradually become accepted.

I always thought of the "don't ask don't tell" law as a good example.

If our combat vets, and soldiers see gay pride marches in San Fran, or anywhere else and see people dressed in flamboyant colorful clothing, singing and dancing, it doesn't give our soldiers a good view of allowed gays to serve openly in the military.

By changing the perceived view of the homosexual to something more realistic, of actual people as opposed to costumed dancers in a march or protest, would do a lot. Don't work so hard against the system.

As Ghandi said, "hate the sin, not the sinner"
