Offhand, I might be tempted to agree with you. But Sharpton isn't the type to let anyone forget that the President came to him, not vice-versa. You can be fairly sure of that.

You mean my BIG circle. I share the same views as the majority of Americans. You wouldn't know since you don't live here.

Obama is the most despicable person to ever hold office and that's saying something considering the high despicability factor of the current crop of liberals.

Race baiting, hate mongering & class warfare seem to be the only things the left is actually accomplishing these days. We haven't seen anything yet - they're only going to get meaner and the lies are going to get bigger and broader.

The GOP have to stand up to him and his ilk - we can't afford another term of this
self absorbed, hateful incompetent.

Can't say I'm excited or in agreement with this decision. Why in the world would he believe that any Black's who are on the fence will be swayed by Big Perm?

I didn't read anything in that article that states that the president said that Sharpton will be some sort of consultant or anything. The quotes were not by anyone in his administration. Also the National Action Network is a nationwide organization that provides a lot of legal assistance to poor people of color. The president is speaking at their convention, he speaks at lots of conventions I'm sure with people of who also have members with similar "colorful" backgrounds like Sharpton.

Personally I don't see Al Sharpton as a racists or a hate mongerer, just someone who is very outspoken and who sometimes his words come back to bite him on the behind. I think a lot of people focus on things that he has spoken about that have been in the news in the 80s and 90s and even the Jena 6 case or the Duke case but never heard about the little known cases that he has taken action with in a similar fashion and of which there was a different outcome.

I am not a fan of his but rather see him as someone akin to white political pundants. They are no different and really I don't see the majority of them as racist either.

careful, your right to an independent opinion will be seen as "making an excuse".
