"Currently, a class that teaches history from a Mexican-American perspective is allowed to substitute for the required U.S. history class. But the school superintendent also wants to reevaluate the entire program,* in part because it advocates the overthrow of the U.S. government."
Students from this highschool have chained themselves to desks in protest at the thought of this radical class being removed. Guess they have learned well from it.
Why shouldn't the Mexicans learn about their own history in US schools ?
If we are going to bend over backwards about Spanish then we should also do the same for the rest of their education.
We brought this on ourselves folks...as they say..give them an inch...
So was Prop 8 and SB1070. State issue, not federal, yet you leftists had diarrhea over it
SB1070 IS my business because i'm a native Arizonan.
Prop 8 concerns the rights of citizens to marry whoever they please...a right that everyone should have. People stood up for the civil rights of my people in places like Mississippi and Alabama, and i owe it to other disenfranchised groups to reciprocate the love, money, and support.
What someone puts in a damn textbook is neither here nor there for me. I have other problems.

BTW....Prop 8 proponents had sh*tloads of money that came from OUTSIDE of California from Conservative groups. So please, let's not act as if you wing nuts treated it as a local issue because you didn't.

Do you live in Arizona still? If you don't, then it's none of your business, according to you. And by the way, it is ALL of our business when it comes to these radical classes because even Alaskan tax dollars go to subsidize education in Arizona. Don't like it? Then stop with big government.
