I think this is a good idea myself. The expansion of the porn industry into everything we do is not something I support. Sorry folks, no problem for this CA native. Love the non smoking laws too...I raised my kids here smoke free and it was wonderful. NJ...now that is a stinky state.

The place needs more mirrors - it would cut down on the appearance of staring.

There is more to it than you saw (never mind the fact that this regulation isn't about state government).

Last time I checked there is nobody forcing you to go into porn shops or coffee shops with scantily clad waitresses....

But, if you need a nanny state to control your behavior, I guess you will be quite comfortable in this little town. Maybe they will pass another law regulating how many calories you can consume on a daily basis. After all, they don't want fat people there either and a nanny state could solve that problem too.

Is Garden Grove an exception in this country? Or, more of a norm?

YEAH! How dare a city want to shut down nude sex shops in family neighborhoods! "We want FREEDOM!"

You may not want freedom to make choices, but millions of us do.

Nobody forced people to go into those coffee houses.

And if you think you boys (if you have any) aren't looking at women in bikinis in thousands of other places, you are quite naive.

Unfortunately, it's becoming the norm for cities to outlaw any thing that they don't like. The concept of freedom to choose is being rapidly eroded.

Lots of dreadful social "norms" have been established by government over our history, including slavery and incarcerating people because they had Japanese names.

Preserving other people's freedom of choice is just beyond many government officials ability to comprehend.

Does it come to you as a surprise that given enough time, any free society will find a way to push for an unfree society?
