Here's a hint for you Republicans: not only did Robert Byrd reject his own racist views decades ago, he is dead.
I know you have nothing else, and whenever you're confronted about nearly a half-century of your party's racist policies the only thing you have to resort to is Robert Byrd, but it's really gotten old and pointless.
1. Byrd has been dead for some time now. And he was never a loved "progressive."
2. Ron Paul catches 10x more flack from his GOP stablemates than he does from any democrats.

Good post!
And Republicans should heed the words of their Presidential candidate Newtsie Gingrich:
News, Gingrich says voters should judge his ability to lead now.
Washington (CNN) -- Judge me by what I can do for America now, rather than only by my mistakes in the past, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said Sunday.
The former House speaker, who announced his candidacy last week, told NBC's "Meet the Press" that he has made mistakes in life, including an adulterous affair that led to one of his two divorces."""""
Byrd more than made up for his mistake with 60 years of service...
Nobody does but what does that have to do with Ron Paul, oh wait I know. You want to change the subject and you desperately want to link David Duke to the Tea Party instead because you don't and can't talk about Ron Paul or Robert Byrd.
How by dying? Sort of like Ted Kennedy grew out of his alcoholism?

Has Newtie quit screwing everything he can get his hands on....what an immoral slob backed by Republicans....REAL TIME.
Of course the lies being spread won't stop anyone who has critical thinking skills from supporting Paul, only droids who do what they are told anyway.
How does anyone know? But Byrd has a 92 year long history but some would be way too lazy and irresponsible to look it up.
So, you think Newtsie will ALWAYS screw around like a W***e ?
