Well, it would appear now that Ron Paul's views are increasingly seen as "making sense", both the left & the right are trying real hard to discredit him. Nothing strikes fear inside a democrat or republican more than someone coming and upsetting their traitorous apple-cart.

So you think Byrd should be forgiven for his actual involvement with the KKK...but Paul should be criticised for some newsletters written in the past not by him?

Yes the party faithful are acting in a bipartisan manner to discredit and smear Ron Paul....

Yes, Byrd more than redeemed himself. Paul? I never mentioned him.....

"Deflation" is a term applicable to fiat and credit "money".

Now, let's take a look at commodity money.

"To understand the concept "legal tender" requires distinguishing between "money" in the economic sense, as the common medium of exchange, and "money" in the juristic sense, as the common medium of payment (or settlement of debts). In a market-economy, something can become a medium of payment only by virtue of already being a satisfactory medium of exchange. In theory, the law can assign the character of a medium of payment ("legal tender") to anything, including the three forms of money: "commodity money,†"credit money,†and "fiat money.†But granting such juristic character to something is insufficient to make that something "money" in the economic sense. In a market-economy, things become media of exchange only through their use as such in commercial transactions. Commerce, of course, may adopt as media of exchange such things as the law declares to be media of payment; but it need not do so."

Money talks, bullschit walks.

Personally, I see juristic money as socialist money.

What if Congress deemed dirt to be money?

There would be name changes from Sacks Goldman to Phil Dirt.

To Regulate the Value of Money

But they are not Conservative Republicans, Only the RINO's.

I like how Paul is against the political government machine, that fools the public into thinking there are two sides. It is the same side... Progressive.
Take your pick... Progressive Dark, or Progressive Lite.

Paul is a Constitutionalist and it freaks out the Progressives in both Republican & Democratic machines.

Leftist droids are funny.

Of course the lies being spread won't stop anyone who has critical thinking skills from supporting Paul, only droids who do what they are told anyway.
How can a telephone be a "leftist"?

Hope that was informative.

Just an FYI - You're the only person talking about Newt, this thread is about Ron Paul and Byrd... but since the *******s around here want to change the subject and bring up other well known Democrats let's talk about Fred Phelps.

Fred Phelps - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Westboro Baptist Church - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fred Phelps, the well known leader of the Westboro Baptist Church... yeah, remember him? He's run as a DEMOCRAT for a few different offices and clearly picked up a few supporters on the Democrat side of the isle... why do Democrats support such a hate monger?

Quote:
Phelps has run in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but has never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15 percent of the vote in 1998.[32] In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31 percent of the vote.[33] Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993[34][unreliable source?] and 1997.[35]

Touche!

They also can address the increase in inflation that would be caused by the recent run up in gold prices.

Also the leading producer of gold in the world is CHINA.

The gold standard is a 19th concept that won't work in a 21st century global economy.
